TESTING
TESTING
USER FLOW
DESIGN PROCESS
What are you going to test?
There are two things I want to test. The first thing is if people are willing to take the card with them if they are in the night bus. The night bus is not riding because of Corona, so I will just make a questionnaire and give this to some people I know and are part of the user group.
The second thing I want to test is if people get the idea and if they have fun with it.

Which prototype are you making?
I will make the cards and maybe the online version with a paper prototype.

Where will you test?
I was thinking of making a video of a part of the route BOB-bus 3 is riding. I will project this on the television with a chair before it (as if this is the bus).

Who will be your testers?
I know some people who have been on a night bus after they partied. I will ask them to be my testers.

How will you document your test?
I will make a small video.
TEST PLAN
The night bus passenger is a young person who wants to have a fun night. For this they can use alcohol. I chose an app which is supposed to be fun while you are drinking and it helps you to get more drunk. I have downloaded the first drinking game app from the App Store and it is called “cheers”.
The first two flowcharts are an overview of the buttons you can tap when you are in the app. The final flowchart is more showing which questions are asked to the user.

QUESTIONNAIRE
CONCLUSION
Almost everyone used the bus after they had a party and it was a cheap way to get home
QUESTION
CONCLUSION
2 out of 9 people wouldn't take it, the rest of them would look at it. My conclusion is that one of these ideas is a good enough to draw attention to the public art of Rotterdam.

If you look at the answers of question 3 and 4, then the drawing cards would get more attention. I also think this is easier to take with you. It requires less concentration and is more interactive to use.

Feedback from Arjen on my questionnaire: People always try to be nice, so by making a questionnaire you don’t get a 100% honest answer. Your questionnaire is also not telling about the QR-code. I think this is influencing your answers. You can also use QR-codes with a tracker. By leaving some of your card in the bus, you can check if people really scan your code.
FEEDBACK
TESTING VIA QR-CODE
On each card is a QR-code. This QR-code is tracked so you know when someone is scanning it and in which city. I left some cards in the bus so I know if people are really scanning it.

I have putted 8 cards in bus 38 to Rotterdam Centraal. I left them on the bus in Schiedam Centrum. On Thursday 27th of May around 17 o'clock. (The night bus isn't driving because of corona).
FIRST TESTING OF THE WEBSITE
TEST 1 - TESTER 1
After the tester had scanned the QR-code, they entered this website. What you see in the video is a screen video of Marleen (tester 1).

TEST 1 - TESTER 2
Eilish tested my website. First she had to imagine to sit on a night bus after her night out. Then I asked her some questions.

Wat zou je doen met deze kaart? Dit inkleuren.
Heb je een pen bij je? Nee.
Wat zou je dan doen? De qr code scannen en met de app inkleuren.

Then she scanned the code and entered the website. On the video on the left you can see what see did on the website.

Conclusion: The first think she did was clicking on the button. I was not clear enough that see also could scroll. So this is what I have changed.

Interaction station workshop
Interaction station workshop

During the workshop in the interaction station we learned how to build a physical interface with the Adafruit circuit playgroup express. We learned how to interface with it with the program Processing. I had a lot of fun during this workshop. I didn’t knew that things like exists. On the right you can see some videos.
My first interface idea is that the party passenger has to put the Adafruit circuit playground express in their pocket before they start drinking. The Adafruit circuit playground express will notice when they are not walking straight anymore (because of the sensors). On this point the Adafruit circuit playground express starts making a sound. When you get it out of you pocket, it will lead you to the nearest bus stop. It will lead you to the nearest bus stop by using lights.
FINAL PRESENTATION
After 24 hours the card was scanned 4 times. One of them was in Utrecht, so I think someone even took it with them.
This is the first website I made with Adobe XD. It is not finished yet, because I changed it after some testers used it. Some screen video's of these tests you can find on the right.

Scan the QR-code if you want to see the website on your phone (or click here to open the website on your laptop).

I only made a phone version of the website, because everyone will use it with their phone (no one will bring a laptop when they go out).
After those two tests I got feedback from Maytal: make clear that it is about coloring and having fun, this is not clear enough now. You can do this by changing the text 'Draw how you see the art'.

Also choose if you want to make it in Dutch or in English. It is weird that the card is in English and the website in dutch.

And add a menu on top of the website.
What I have changed after test 1: I made the button on the start page bigger. I also worked further on the page (there are more clickable buttons now). Then Eilish tested my website > > >

CONCLUSION
People do look at the cards, because it was scanned a few times. It wasn't as much as I hoped, but still some people did it.
Conclusion:
She is totally right. I only tested the buttons on the website and not if people understand the concept. Marleen was also a bit confused about the coloring part. I have to change the design, to make it clear.

FINAL TESTING OF THE WEBSITE
This is the final website I made for the final test, based on the feedback I got from the testers and teachers.

Scan the QR-code if you want to see the website on your phone (or click here to open the website on your laptop).
Conclusion: The "click here to draw" button on the bottom of the page is to small. That's why she couldn't find it and got stuck in some of the pages.
FEEDBACK
CONCLUSION
I forgot to mention that you actually couldn’t draw on the website. But she still got the idea that it was a coloring page. This was my main problem after the first test.

She didn’t really take a closer look to the idea behind the coloring page. This is not bad, because in the end it is about having fun.

The concept is much clearer after changing the design.
CONCLUSION TEST 2 - TESTER 1
This test went better, because I ask more specific questions. The website wasn’t working very well, but this depends on which phone you have (and it is off course a prototype). This tester was more interested in the background, so she started with reading the about page. In this way she understood completely where it was about. Something I can improve is the ordering of the pages. And make a real drawing spot in it.
I also asked some questions to see if the website is clear. The answer is a screen record of how they found the right page.
What I said to tester 1: Now I will ask you some question and I want to ask you to go there on the website. Question 1: Go to the homepage of the Appel art.

Can you find some general information about this project?
Question 3:
Where can you color in the page?
CONCLUSION:
Everything is clear
